Manchester United came into today’s game after the 5-1 demolition of FC Midtjylland which set up a Europa League tie with Liverpool.

Arsenal travelled to Old Trafford on the back of the 2-0 defeat to Barcelona midweek and were looking to bounce back. Some said playing us was the best option as the 3-0 defeat we suffered at the Emirates earlier in the season was immediately after their defeat to Olympiakos.

However, United have an excellent home record against the Gunners in the Premier League, we hadn’t lost since 2006 which is now a nine-game unbeaten run.

With Anthony Martial still injured, Marcus Rashford was given the chance to build upon his two-goal Europa League heroics with a Premier League debut.

He did just that with two first-half goals as he and Ander Herrera ensured the three points stayed in Manchester.
