United set to sign young Brentford midfielder
Manchester United are set to sign 17-year-old midfielder Joshua Bohui from Brentford, according to the Daily Mail.
Bohui, who was part of the Three Lions squad for the UEFA Under-17 Championships in May, will join the under-18 setup after impressing United staff during a recent trial.
The midfielder was set to become a second-year scholar at the Championship club, but is now set to bolster the youth side at Carrington, which had a lack of depth last season and may even be used in Warren Joyce’s pre-season preparations for the Under-21 side.
Bohui, who can also play as a striker if needed, is a graduate of the Afewee Academy in Brixton, where Liverpool and England right-back Nathaniel Clyne took his formative steps into becoming a professional footballer.
United’s under-18s endured a miserable season last time out, finishing second bottom of the table and they will be looking to drastically improved under the management of Tommy Martin this season.
