José Mourinho has a fully fit squad available for selection when Manchester United take on Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night.

Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have both recovered from their recent injuries and will be at hand if the United manager decides that they are ready to play in the important clash from the off.

Shaw has not featured since being taken off with a groin problem during United’s 3-1 defeat to Watford in mid-September. The 21-year-old was left out of Gareth Southgate’s first England squad during the international break and his place in the United side has been filled by Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo during his absence.

Mkhitaryan, meanwhile, has not played since the Manchester derby defeat in early September and has now fully recovered from a thigh strain, with the creative midfielder foregoing Armenia’s recent World Cup qualifiers to focus on his recovery after picking up the injury during the previous international break.

Anfield may well be the place for Mkhitaryan to make his mark as a United player after a slow start to life in England, with the 27-year-old having scored for his former side Borussia Dortmund in their Europa League tie with Liverpool at the ground.

Otherwise, they are no other concerns for Mourinho, who told MUTV in his pre-match interview that all United players on international duty during the break all returned with zero problems.
