Moussa Dembele scouted by Manchester United
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United scouts were in attendance last night as Celtic dismantled Ross County and cruised to a 4-0 victory.
It’s no surprise who United had eyes on. Star striker Moussa Dembele was on their radar and the Frenchman got on the scoresheet late in the rout.
That was the 20-year-old’s 15th goal for Celtic in just 21 appearances in all competitions since his summer move from Fulham for a compensation fee of just £500,000.
The former PSG youth star has hit the ground running at Celtic Park and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane believes it won’t be too long until the youngster will be targeting by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
As quoted by the Daily Record, he said:
Dembele is one of the most talked about young strikers in Europe at the moment but it has not surprised me at all – I always saw that.
I do understand now that the biggest clubs in Europe are being linked with him and that will be his destination eventually
The France U21 international has scored against some high-profile opposition this season already, including a brace in the Champions League against Manchester City and who could forget his hat-trick against Rangers.
If he continues his fine form, expect Celtic to be fielding some offers for him in January.
