Ibrahimovic hints at United exit
Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted at an exit from Old Trafford, as he seeks to dominate the MLS.
Speaking to Afton Bladet, the Swedish forward has spoken about his desire to conquer another country and has America/Canada in his sights next.
Ibrahimovic signed for United from PSG over the summer but only penned a one-year contract with the club. This means that he could be free to move to the MLS next summer.
The 35-year-old forward has had a good start to his career in Manchester. Ibrahimovic has scored six Premier League goals from 11 games so far, with eight goals in all competitions.
In fact, his last goal for United was his 400th career club goal – with all of them having been scored for European clubs. He has scored goals in Sweden, Holland, Italy, France, Spain and now England.
Speaking about his Napoleon-esque quest for world domination, Ibrahimovic said this:
It [MLS] is a huge option for me. For the football and everything else. I can see myself conquering the US as I have with Europe.
Lots of people stay in one place throughout their career, but I’ve traveled around like Napoleon, and conquered every new country where I’ve set foot.
So perhaps I should do what Napoleon didn’t and cross the Atlantic and conquer the States as well.
