In the tightest group of them all in the Europa League, Manchester United are truly in must-win mode tonight when they welcome Feyenoord to Old Trafford.
In the opening game of the group, United lost 1-0 away at Feyenoord and will be hoping to exact revenge on the Eredivisie side.
Jose Mourinho’s men sit third in Group A but remain just one point behind leaders Fenerbahce and Feyenoord, meaning a win tonight would see them leapfrog their opponents and into the qualification places and putting their destiny back in their own hands.
We’ve come to expect Mourinho to rotate his squad in European football and he will do so again tonight.
Here’s our predicted XI ahead of tonight’s game.
GK: David De Gea
An ever-present in the side, De Gea will always be given the nod between the sticks
RB: Antonio Valencia
Valencia has Mourinho’s trust and in a must-win game will start tonight.
CB: Phil Jones
Short of centre-backs, Mourinho has no option but to keep Jones in the side despite his increased injury risk.
CB: Daley Blind
As he normally does in the Europa League, Blind will come in to spell Marcos Rojo on this occasion.
LB: Luke Shaw
After a spell out of the side, Luke Shaw is tipped for a first-team return this evening.
CM: Ander Herrera
The first name on the team sheet in midfield.
CM: Paul Pogba
Manchester United need their big money player to step up on the big occasion tonight.
RW: Juan Mata
United’s most consistent performer this season, Mata will be given a chance to impress from the start.
CAM: Wayne Rooney
Rooney was rested on the weekend with this game in mind so he’ll likely start tonight.
LW: Anthony Martial
Martial hasn’t been at his best of late and needs to rediscover top form.
ST: Marcus Rashford
The same can be said of Marcus Rashford in attack. Hopefully, he gets the service he needs tonight.
