Predicted XI vs West Ham (League Cup)
Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side are preparing to welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford for the second time in a matter of days.
The Red Devils were held to a thoroughly disappointing 1-1 draw with the Hammers on Sunday afternoon, with the goals coming from Diafra Sakho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Paul Pogba, whose brilliant through ball provided the assist for Ibrahimovic’s weekend equaliser, is suspended having picked up five yellow cards so far this season. For the same reason, Belgian central midfielder Marouane Fellaini will also sit out of Wednesday night’s League Cup fixture.
With Hammers manager Slaven Bilic determined to see United off at this attempt and advance to the cup semi finals, Mourinho would be wise to field a strong starting eleven.
Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Bastian Schweinsteiger are all in contention for the game – here’s who we think will turn out in a red shirt on Wednesday night.
