Manchester United fear missing out on James Rodriguez
Manchester United remain interested in signing James Rodriguez in the summer transfer window but his availability is predicated on the future of Isco.
According to Spanish source AS, Isco’s possible departure from the Bernabeu could put an end to any summer transfer for Rodriguez.
Chelsea are also interested in signing Rodriguez at the end of the season but the Colombian has recently stated that he hopes to remain at Madrid next season and battle for his place in the side.
The 25-year-old has been in and out of the starting line-up under Zinedine Zidane, making just six starts in La Liga this season but a goal and an assist during the 4-1 win over Eibar last time out is a reminder of what he is capable of.
Both Rodriguez and Isco are vying for minutes in the same position for Madrid and both would like to play more but it seems Isco is the more likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
Barcelona and Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Spaniard whose contract expires at the end of next season having recently rejected a new deal with the club seeing as he wants to play more football.
