Zlatan Ibrahimovic out for the rest of the season
Manchester United have been dealt a major blow to their hopes for the remained of the season with the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to miss the finals games of the campaign with a knee injury.
The striker went down with a knee injury last in the second half of last night’s Europa League quarter-final second-leg victory over Anderlecht where he planted his leg in an awkward position before falling to the deck grasping at the injured knee.
The Daily Mail understand the Swede has been ruled out for the rest of the season following the injury, meaning United will miss him in their pursuit of a top four finish as well as their Europa League semi-final clash with Celta Vigo.
Ibrahimovic has netted 28 goals in all competitions for United this season following his free transfer move from PSG last summer and we could have seen the last of him at Old Trafford seeing as his contract expires at the end of the season.
