According to @GFFN on Twitter, Monaco’s Fabinho has an agreement in his contract with the French side which allows him to leave in the summer if he wishes to which is a massive boost for Manchester United, who have targeted him recently.

Fabinho has been linked with Manchester United for a long time now and there’s no doubt that interest in him from United and other clubs have risen since Monaco’s amazing Champions League campaign, which has seen them beat the likes of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund to reach the semi-finals.

Manchester United started their interest in the Brazilian when he was playing at right back but even after his position change into defensive midfield, they’ll still love to sign him.

With Michael Carrick getting older and Marouane Fellaini not being good enough, Fabinho would be a great signing for Jose Mourinho’s side as he’ll slot in easily into the midfield.

Even if Fabinho doesn’t play in midfield, he’ll still probably get game time at right back as that has been a position that Man United have struggled to fill in recent years, usually playing wingers such as Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young to fill in there.
