Manchester United make Lukaku their number one summer target
Romelu Lukaku’s future at Everton has been in doubt ever since he refused to sign a new contract and things could get a bit more rocky for the Blues as it has been reported by Jamie Jackson of the Guardian that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made the striker his number one transfer target.
Despite the success of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United have failed to score enough goals and it looks like they are eyeing the league’s current top scorer as the solution to their problems in front of goal.
Lukaku has scored 24 league goals for the Blues this season and looks like he’ll win the league’s Golden Boot when the campaign ends.
Such success is bound to attract interest from elsewhere but Everton won’t sell the Belgian on the cheap and will reportedly hold out for more than £60m for the striker.
Lukaku is also being linked with a move to Chelsea but it looks like United have their eyes set on getting him and last summer showed that they are willing to spend big in order to get the players they want.
