United target Navas poised to leave Real
According to a report from Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Costa Rica international Keylor Navas is set to leave Real Madrid this summer amid interest from Manchester United.
Spain international David De Gea has been lined up by Real for some time now as their long-term target to claim the number one spot at the Bernabeu, but no move has materialised yet and he remains a key asset under Jose Mourinho.
However, this isn’t likely to stop Real going back in for De Gea this summer and it’s looking as though it’ll be a move to replace Navas.
The experienced shot-stopper isn’t exactly enjoying life at Real and amid reports that he will be replaced when the summer transfer window comes around, he’s reportedly asked to have his contract terminated in order for him to seek pastures new.
Navas’ deal at Real expires in the summer of 2020, so the club will need to pay off the remaining three years of his deal as part of the settlement.
