Manchester United’s Joel Pereira is attracting attention from Portuguese trio Benfica, Sporting and Porto this summer.

The Mirror reports that the Red Devils will face a battle to keep the youngster, who is highly thought of both in Manchester and Portugal.

All three clubs are on the lookout for new goalkeepers. Benfica have recently sold Ederson to Manchester City, Porto are letting former Real Madrid man Iker Casillas go this summer and Sporting may cash in on Rui Patricio.

Pereira spent the first half of the season in Portugal, on loan at Belenenses, where a string of impressive performances saw Jose Mourinho recall the youngster.

The 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and is open to extending his stay, but may be tempted by the lure of first-team football elsewhere.

Pereira is currently United’s third-choice shot-stopper, behind David de Gea and Sergio Romero.
