Manchester United closing in on Fabinho
Manchester United are edging closer to completing their second signing of the summer, signing AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, according to IBT.
Fabinho, 23, played a huge role in Monaco’s successful season where they won Ligue 1 for the first time since 2000. The Brazilian can play as a right-back or as a holding midfielder, and has been subject of interest from Serie A sides Inter Milan and champions Juventus.
However, his future looks set on a move to the Premier League with a reported deal believed to be in the region of £30.7 million along with a further £4.4 million in bonuses, making the transfer worth a total of £35.1m.
Fabinho has been of interest and has had conversations with fellow Premier League sides Manchester City and Arsenal his father confirmed.
The versatile midfielder appeared in 48 games for the French side last campaign, finding the back of the net on 10 occasions and registering four assists across all competitions.
