According to The Mirror, Tottenham defender Danny Rose has been rewarded with a new bumper contract.

Rose has been out injured since January and will miss the first two games of the season. However, Jose Mourinho is reportedly very interested in the Englishman.

Last season, Mourinho struggled with his left-backs. He publicly came out multiple times admitting that he does not have faith in Luke Shaw.

The Red Devils have already enquired several times about the availability of Rose. Each time they’ve been told that he isn’t available. However, the same was said to Manchester City about Kyle Walker in the early stages of their negotiations and a move was eventually struck.

Manchester United would need to offer a sum that Tottenham would not be able to refuse and although that may be quite a hefty fee, Rose would solidify Mourinho‘s defence and make it one of the best in the league.
