Manchester United are reportedly ready to demand a fee of €18m if Matteo Darmian is to leave the club this summer.
According to a report from Il Messaggero (h/t Sport Witness), the versatile defender is keen to return back to Italy in this transfer window after being frozen out at United.
It’s been clear to see that Darmian isn’t really in Jose Mourinho’s plans at Old Trafford, and this is likely to prompt the former Torino man seeking pastures new in the near future.
The 27-year-old hasn’t had the desired impact since his move from the Serie A, and has been majorly utilised as a rotational option.
However, Roma are being cited with interest in the right-back, who can also play on the left hand side of defence, as they look to beef up their defensive options.
Clubs are unlikely to fork out a price of €18m for a defender who, in reality, has not progressed since his move.
