Ajax interested in Borthwick-Jackson
Manchester United left-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is looking set for another loan move away from the club this summer, and Ajax are the latest side to be linked.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Eredivisie runners-up are keen to bolster their defensive reinforcements and they have identified the youngster as a plausible target.
Borthwick-Jackson couldn’t break into Jose Mourinho’s plans for United last season but featured fairly prominently under Louis van Gaal.
The 20-year-old was loaned out to Championship side Wolves last season but failed to make an impact. This saw him recalled, with United then using him in their Under-23 side for the remainder of the campaign.
However, this has not deterred the club’s intention to send the youngster away once again, with Ajax sniffing around.
The Dutch club are intending on signing new defenders off the back of selling Jairo Riedewald to Crystal Palace, and Borthwick-Jackson looks to be one man under consideration.
