Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has officially joined Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.

The young defender has been linked with a move away from the club for much of the summer so far, and he’s now found the club he wants to continue his development with.

Fosu-Mensah burst onto the scene under Louis van Gaal and showed promising signs when called upon, filling in during an injury crisis and demonstrating a lot of versatility.

However, he is surplus to Jose Mourinho’s requirements for the forthcoming season, and therefore a decision was made to send the youngster away on a temporary basis.

Palace boss Frank de Boer has been evidently keen to land new defensive reinforcements since his arrival at Selhurst Park, and he’ll be happy to have secured a move for his compatriot.
