Mourinho does not plan to finish his career at United
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he does not plan to finish his managerial career at Old Trafford.
Speaking to French outlet Telefoot, Mourinho claimed that he still has ambitions to fulfil in the game and hinted at a move to France, in particular, Paris Saint-Germain in the future.
The only thing I can say is that I am still a coach with worries, with ambitions and with the desire to do new things. I’m sure I will not finish my career here [at Manchester United].
The other day my son decided to watch a match in Paris. Why? Paris has something special. Magic about the place. It’s fantastic.
Mourinho, who’s in his second season at Old Trafford, is famous for only staying at a club for three years before moving on to his next position.
The 54-year-old has been linked with the Paris Saint-Germain job previously and a job in Ligue 1 could be an attractive proposition for Mourinho in the latter stages of his career, despite ‘the special one’ criticising the league in the past for its lack of competitiveness.
Mourinho’s current contract at Old Trafford runs until 2019, but talks over an extension are expected to start before the new year.
