Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has come out in high praise of his club and international team-mate Anthony Martial.
Pogba, who re-joined the club in the summer of 2016 following an impressive spell at Juventus, has been sidelined with injury for quite some time now, but has kept fans entertained on social media during his recovery.
Those fans will be most pleased with his most recent comments — he has hailed the talents of United forward Anthony Martial.
Pogba insists that Martial has more to offer, despite impressing all season so far (via the Daily Star):
Anthony is a big, big, big talent.
He’s a talented player – one of the best players I have ever seen or trained with.
Pogba has played and trained with all sorts of stars, from Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney, to Giorgio Chiellini and Gianluigi Buffon — which gives his comments on Martial some real weight.
He is still young and is going to improve. He will improve a lot and you are going to see even more of Anthony, I’m sure
Martial has scored six goals in 16 appearances for United so far this season — already closing in on his eight goal tally from 42 games in 2016-17.
He is back in the France squad, too, having impressed Didier Deschamps into recalling him to Les Bleus; let’s hope Pogba is back to fitness to join him for club and country soon!
