Manchester United are reportedly resigned to losing Marouane Fellaini, and will aim to replace him with Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred.
According to a report from the Mirror, a deal has already been struck between United and Besiktas for Fellaini to make the switch to Turkey in the January transfer window.
Fellaini’s contract is rapidly nearing its expiration, and if United do not sell in January and the midfielder doesn’t pen a new deal, they risk losing him for free in the summer.
So, if the Mirror are to be believed, United have agreed to cash in and will sell Fellaini for a fee of £8 million. Jose Mourinho holds the ex-Everton man in high regard, and losing him is sure to be a blow.
However, one man who is being lined up by the Red Devils is Fred, if reports are to be believed.
The inventive midfielder has been in superb form under Paulo Fonseca at Shakhtar Donetsk, and is catching the eye of many across Europe.
It’s claimed that United are joined by Sevilla and Valencia in their interest in the enigmatic Brazilian playmaker, who is said to be enthused by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
