Andreas Pereira is enjoying a good spell away from Manchester United at Valencia.
The creative midfielder has been in impressive form with the La Liga outfit, who have enjoyed a good start to the campaign.
Pereira put pen to paper on a new deal at Old Trafford prior to his departure, with Jose Mourinho said to be unhappy with the youngster’s decision to move on a temporary basis.
However, the 21-year-old has no regrets about his decision to join Valencia and spoke to Superdeporte about his time in Spain so far. Asked if he’d like to stay at the club beyond this season, Pereira was decisive in his answer.
Of course, that would be a very good option for me, it would be positive. I’m happy at Valencia CF. Valencia is a big club and seeing our current form, everyone wants to remain here.
Everything is going so well, everyone in the squad is happy. We want to maintain this.
Pereira made the bold call to depart Old Trafford as he sought first-team football on a regular basis. Since his move, he has featured nine times under Marcelino, with four of these coming as starts.
In my mind I want to be here and help Valencia until June. That was my intention when I came here.
I know there is a clause inserted into the loan deal and I will have to wait and see. But my focus is on Valencia and I would like to stay here.
Regardless of whether or not he is intent on sticking around, Pereira is sure to come back to United a much-improved player thanks to his experience at Valencia.
