United interested in Roberto after contract news
According to Bleacher Report, Manchester United, as well as Chelsea, are interested in Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto after finding out release clause.
Barcelona may have sealed a new deal with their main man Lionel Messi, but they can’t seem to pin Roberto, their hero in the dramatic Champions League tie last season, down to a new deal at the Nou Camp.
Roberto is a very versatile player, who can play at right-back and central midfield, so he will be perfect for United, as current backup right-back, Matteo Darmian, has found it hard to adjust to the Premier League, and their current backup central midfielder is Marouane Fellaini, who looks likely to leave Old Trafford very soon.
Roberto has a small release clause of £35m, especially for a player of his quality, and all clubs interested will need to move quickly to activate this release clause, or otherwise the Spanish giants Barca will eventually sign a new deal with the Spaniard.
