Manchester United Player Ratings: West Brom (A)
Manchester United secured their second consecutive Premier League win on Sunday as they swept aside West Brom in a 2-1 victory.
It was a toughly contested affair between the two sides, but United simply had too much quality in the end as they made their rampant first-half display count.
Marcus Rashford’s floated cross was met by the head of Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian netting a finely placed header to make it 1-0. This goal was Lukaku’s second in as many games.
United doubled their lead soon after as Juan Mata laid the ball off to Jesse Lingard, whose shot was set to be saved by Ben Foster. However, Ahmed Hegazi hung a leg out and the ball ricocheted into the Baggies net, meaning United led 2-0 at the interval.
West Brom fought hard in the second half and pulled a goal back through Gareth Barry, who stabbed home from close range.
United came away with all three points, though, meaning they still trail league leaders Manchester City by 11 points. Here are our player ratings for the Red Devils.
