United given setback in pursuit of Alex Sandro
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been given a setback in his pursuit for a new left back, after Juventus admitted they are desperate to keep the Brazilian, according to the Independent.
United face competition from fellow Premier League rivals Chelsea, who have been interested in the highly rated fullback since the summer.
However, with Juventus losing numerous defensive options in the summer and current defender Leonardo Spinazzola on loan at Atalanta and refusing to come back early, Juventus look to keep hold of the full back until the summer.
It is believed that the player is open to a move away from Serie A to the Premier League, however, Juventus are set to dig in and reject all offers that come there way for the Brazilian.
Sandro, 26, has been with the Italian giants since 2015 after joining from FC Porto, and is approaching his 100th appearance for Juventus.
