Manchester United have made an enquiry about Porto’s £36 million-rated striker Moussa Marega, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

United are in the market for a new striker to ease the goalscoring burden on the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic also sidelined, United have found goals hard to come by this season when Lukaku is not firing on all cylinders.

This may mean that Mourinho delves into the market this January to get the attack firing again and he believes Marega is the one to do just that.

Marega has been in incredible form in the league this season scoring 12 times in 14 appearances. Due to this, the 26-year-old has also drawn interest from other Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham.

Both Leicester City and Brighton have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the Porto striker, meaning interest is high in the Mali international.
