Manchester United reportedly view Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney as an alternative option to Tottenham defender Danny Rose.
According to a report from the Mirror, United remain keen to sign an established left-back in the near future and they want to land Rose from Spurs. However, if they are unable to secure the England international, promising Celtic star Tierney is seen as a viable option.
Tierney recently put pen to paper on a new and improved deal at Parkhead but this hasn’t stopped the speculation surrounding his future, with a number of clubs still seemingly keen to secure his services.
The report from the Mirror claims that although United are interested in landing Rose, Tottenham want to receive a mammoth sum of £50 million from the defender. This has put United off and could lead them to look elsewhere.
It’s claimed that Celtic would demand a sum of £25m for Tierney, who has established himself as one of Scotland’s brightest young talents.
