Ajax starlet Justin Kluivert is believed to be a summer transfer target for Manchetser United, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

The Red Devils are reportedly lining up a move for the 18-year old to come to Old Trafford for the beginning of next season.

Sport claim that United boss José Mourinho has personally encouraged the teenager (son of former Netherlands and Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert) to bid his time with Ajax and reject any approaches made to him this month.

The Portuguese coach is said to have delivered a version of that message when his United side met Ajax in the Europa League final last season, where Mourinho urged the young Kluivert to get another season under his belt with the Dutch giants – and has since reiterated it.

Kluivert has scored five in 14 Eredivisie appearances so far this season, and is said to be keen on Mourinho’s idea. He is content to build up experience at the club where his dad made his name, before making a high profile switch next season.
