Rashford told to make decision on United future
Thierry Henry has said that Marcus Rashford must make the decision concerning his Manchester United future, according to The Manchester Evening News.
Since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, the attacking positions at Old Trafford have become saturated, especially due to the magnificent recent performances of the likes of Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
José Mourinho has recently played Martial on the right and new arrival Sanchez on the left. This has caused Thierry Henry to speak about Mancunian born Rashford’s future.
The former French hero is a huge fan of Rashford, but believes that the best way to improve his potential and to get more minutes is to leave Old Trafford.
Speaking on Monday Night Football for the Chelsea 3-0 Watford match, Henry said (via Manchester Evening News):
You cannot be on the bench and missing games, missing learning about the game and stopping that momentum, and an example is Rashford.
Michael Owen had the opportunity to back up what he did the yearbefore because he played, and he played, and he played.
But Rashford at time could not capitalise on what he did from that year, because sometimes he is playing on the right, on the left.
So Henry, who at Rashford’s age was a regular starter for AS Monaco, thinks the Englishman’s best chance of getting minutes is to leave Old Trafford. But as a Manchester United fan, it may be hard for him, but all will be revealed this summer.
