De Gea set to sign new United contract
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is set to sign a new contract with the club, despite ongoing interest in the player, according to the Times.
The Spaniard has been in exemplary form this season, which he demonstrated by making a world-class save in his sides’ Champions League draw with Sevilla on Wednesday evening.
Real Madrid have been tracking the player for some time now and are thought to have not given up all hopes of getting the player but United are keen to tie down the player to a long term deal.
The Spanish number one has impressed everyone this season once again as he has the most clean sheets in the Premier League so far this term, with 15, two ahead of Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois.
It’s vital that United tie the player down to a long term contract as they look so much more solid with him in the side.
