Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard is to be offered a new contract at the club after a fine season under Jose Mourinho, as reported by the Daily Star.
The forward has scored 13 goals this season, his best in any season to date and is set to be rewarded for his efforts with a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad next week.
The academy graduate only signed a new contract 11 months ago but the club are keen to tie the talented youngster down to an improved deal at Old Trafford.
The rumoured deal is set to give him a pay rise from £75,000 all the way up to £100,000 after reaching several targets which were set in the previous deal throughout this season.
The new deal will be another boost for Lingard who has been enjoying a fine season under Jose Mourinho, despite regularly being used off the bench, the England international has found a place in his squad, despite many believing he could be cast to the side.
