According to the Independent, Manchester United are out of the race for Gareth Bale with the winger set for a move to Inter Milan.

The Welshman has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Bale having a tough time in Spain with Real Madrid. He has become surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, with Los Blancos looking at signing Neymar from PSG.

But the Independent report that Madrid now have zero interest in signing Bale, with the club spending big on bringing Alexis Sanchez to the club, and would not be interested in a move for Bale.

Bale moved to Madrid after a career year with Tottenham in 2013, but has struggled to re-find that form since moving to the Spanish capital.

The Welshman was taken off at halftime against Juventus on Wednesday, as Madrid scraped their way to the Champions League semifinals.

Inter Milan now look to be the favourites for Bale, a team that the Welshman should know well after scoring a hat-trick against them with Spurs in 2010/11.
