West Brom clash a crucial chance for Anthony Martial
Sunday 15th April 2018, a routine fixture in the calendar for most people, but not for Anthony Martial.
The electric Frenchman has found recent life at Old Trafford difficult, struggling to force his way into the squad following the January acquisition of Alexis Sanchez.
It simply cannot be a random correlation that Martial hasn’t scored since Sanchez’s arrival, where the Chilean forward seems to have taken his place in the Red Devils line-up.
Manchester United’s next fixture comes against relegation favourites West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, and Martial will be looking to impress manager Jose Mourinho in training if he is to make an appearance at the weekend.
It’s rather unheard of for a winger who has won the Player of the Month award three times this season (in September, October and January respectively) to not feature regularly in the starting XI, which highlights the attacking strength Mourinho has at his disposal.
With constant speculation linking the forward with a move to Juventus, he needs to take the opportunity when it comes to him and grasp it.
The question remains, however, will he even get one?
