Athletic Bilbao want Ander Herrera
Athletic Bilbao will look to try and re-sign Ander Herrera from Manchester United this summer, according to Football Espana.
Reports in Spain suggest that Bilbao are willing to make Herrera one of their highest earners as they look to revamp their squad this summer.
El Mundo Deportivo, citing a report in El Correo, report that Bilbao will approach United with an “attractive offer” for the 28-year-old.
With Bilbao currently occupying 14th place in La Liga a managerial change could also be on the cards this summer with Eduardo Berizzo highly tipped to replace current manager Jose Angel Ziganda.
Herrera spent three years at Bilbao after signing from Real Zaragosa in 2011 before completing a €30million euro move to United.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly open to selling the midfielder in the summer as he also looks to overhaul his squad.
The midfielder is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of next season and could leave the club for free next summer.
