Napoli star Jorginho has been constantly linked with a move to Manchester United, but the player’s agent has revealed that the club are yet to make a move for him, according to Goal.
The Italian international is attracting interest from a number of clubs around Europe following several fine performances.
It looks set to be a battle between a number of the English clubs to sign the player, with the Napoli man claimed to be open to a move.
There is still a further two years left to go on the Jorginho’s current deal, but it’s looking increasingly likely that he will leave Italy at the end of the season.
He has appeared in 35 matches so far this season in all competitions, netting three goals and collecting four assists in the process.
Barcelona are also thought to be keen, but a move to England seems more likely to happen in the summer.
The player’s agent addressed the situation:
At the moment though there are a lot of rumours flying about. The Napoli coach and players are being approached by first one team then another, but there’s nothing official.
The last thing I read is that Manchester United made a proposal through [Jose] Mourinho’s representative [Jorge Mendes], but no-one called me.
