# Manchester United v Leicester City: Predicted line-up

Last time out against Leicester City did not quite go to plan for Louis Van Gaal and his men, but having seemingly underestimated our opponents previously, we should be looking to making sure that this encounter goes smoothly and get the job done early. This is my predicted line-up for Manchester United and why they should be in the team.

(GK) David de Gea: With seven clean sheets, the Spaniard is in the form of his life. Having made 50 saves, he outshines the other goalkeepers in the top four. Without a doubt, the first name on the team sheet and rightly so.

(RB) Antonio Valencia: With two first team centre backs injured, I think LVG will revert to a back four. Valencia has grown into his spot at right wing back when the team deploys a 3-5-2 so I see the Ecuadorian being the man called upon on Saturday.

(CB) Marcos Rojo: The £16 million man from Argentina deserves to keep his spot after a good performance against a lively Cambridge United side. With an average of three interceptions and seven clearances per game, this puts him second in our list of central defenders.

(CB) Phil Jones: Number one on our list of defenders for average interceptions (4) and clearances (7), Jones seems to struggle with his distribution but is our best option at the minute and has the ability to grow into a dominating defender if we can find the right partnership.

(LB) Luke Shaw: Unlucky with injuries this season but he has been very impressive when given his chance. Pacey, not afraid to take on players and a good cross should leave LVG with no choice but to give him an extended stay in the team starting on Saturday.

(CDM) Michael Carrick: Also known as Mr Reliable, due somewhat to his pass completion of 90% this season, Carrick deserves his spot. He reads the game like a veteran and makes the job look easy on his day. He also has a high tendency to pass the ball forward with 590 of his 723 passes this season going forward, which if utilised in the right system could be devastating.

(CM) Angel Di Maria: A stunning goal in the reverse fixture, along with three goals, six assists and 34 chances created makes Di Maria currently our shining light from his spot in midfield and this rightfully lands him a spot in the team for Saturday.

(CM) Wayne Rooney: Seemingly moved back to accommodate other players but with eight goals and four assists, Rooney is included every time he is fit.

(CAM) Juan Mata: Currently second most minutes played of all our midfielders, barring Rooney, leads me to think he will play in his favoured spot just off the strikers. With three goals, 5 assists and 90% pass completion; it is the logical choice for Saturday.\
(ST) Robin Van Persie: Eight goals and two assists get him into the team for the weekend. Can do better and has admitted so himself, particularly with his waning contribution this season but on his day, he is a world-beater.

(ST) Radamel Falcao: Simple inclusion for me. 16 games in the league to prove himself worthy of his hefty buyout fee and current wages. Three goals and three assists in the league in 13 games can be better but here is hoping he finds the form, which made him world class, this weekend.
