# Ben Amos joins Bolton Wanderers on loan

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos has today joined Bolton Wanderers of the Championship, on loan for one month.

The 24-year old faces a tough time getting game time at United, with David de Gea as first choice being younger than him and the signing of Victor Valdes on a free. Amos also sees himself behind Anders Lindegaard in the pecking order. Having only made 1 league appearances since his promotion to the senior squad in 2008, Amos has been out on a series of loans; the most recent of which being Hull in 2013 and Carlisle in 2014.

The youth product was recently told by Louis van Gaal he was free to find a new club should he wish, following the signing of Victor Valdes, with van Gaal not needing four first team goalkeepers. Amos has instead decided to go out on loan, to either further his progression or put himself on the market.

Bolton will be hoping that Amos can help them in the Championship, who have a FA Cup replay against Liverpool next week. The English goalkeeper has represented England at all levels between U16 to U21, but will be facing competition from the former Premier League goalkeeper Adam Bogdan. He will have to prove his worth at North West club.
