# Newcastle United v Manchester United: Predicted line-up

De Gea, Valencia, Smalling and Rojo all look to start again in defence, with the possibility of Shaw coming in to replace Jonny Evans, after missing the Sunderland game with a tight hamstring. Blind and Herrera will be looking to start together once again possibly in free defensive and attacking roles respectively. With Di Maria struggling and both Young and Januzaj impressing in previous weeks, it looks likely that they will both make the team, Mata has hardly featured since the turn of the year and it seems as if he may miss out yet again.

Falcao looked lively in the reverse of this fixture earlier in the season, grabbing an assist for one of Rooney’s two goals at Old Trafford. Van Persie is injured so it seems as if Falcao is likely to feature on Wednesday night. The first name on the team sheet against Newcastle will have been Wayne Rooney. With 12 premier league goals against Newcastle, Rooney has a fantastic record against the magpies and will be looking to firing Manchester United towards another win.

**Newcastle**

With Cabella, Tiote, De Jong, Haidara, Paul Dummet and Steven Taylor all out of the match with injuries and Colback suspended, it’s a weakened Newcastle side who will be lining up against the 20 time premier league champions. Newcastle’s predicted line-up is as follows: Krul; Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, Taylor; Abeid, Sissoko; Ameobi, Perez, Obertan; Cisse.

Tim Krul, Van Gaal’s magic World Cup substitution looks to line up against his former national boss. Cisse’s goal was the difference for Newcastle last time out and he now has the best goals per minute ration in the league, scoring an average of 1 goal every 84 minutes and he will be looking to cause an upset against the champions league spot challengers.

After scoring 7 without conceding on aggregate in the last 2 visits to St James’ park, I would expect another comfortable victory for Manchester United. Our best performance came against Newcastle at home earlier this season in a 3-1 win but the way things are going at Manchester United, it’s hard to say what will happen! I’m going for another 3-1 win to Man Utd.
