# Angelo Henriquez open to Manchester return

**Angelo Henriquez has boosted the spirits of supporters by suggesting he would be open to a return to Manchester United in the future, despite his ‘crushing’ time at the club.**

The 20-year-old has currently spent the season on loan at Dinamo Zagreb, and has impressed with the Croatian club. Previously enjoying FA Cup success during a loan spell at Wigan Athletic, Henriquez has somewhat struggled to break into the side.

Nevertheless, fans have remained optimistic over the forward, and many believe he has a future at the club. And once reports emerged he had sealed a move to Zagreb in the summer – the initial suggestion he had left permanently caused considerable outcry between the supporters.

Henriquez was then rumoured to have completed a permanent deal in January after securing regular first-time football in the Croatian top tier, but it was believed the Red Devils would only announce the deal in the summer of 2015.

With an option to make the transfer permeant in the loan argeement, Henriquez has now spoken of a potential return to Manchester to reignite his career in England.

“I hope to return someday to Manchester United,” he said. “I was crushed because I was so close to playing in the first team and then had to look from the outside. That was very frustrating.

“I came with all the expectations of playing in the Premier League and the FA Cup and nothing happened. I only played in the Under 21.”

United boss Louis van Gaal is yet to comment on the striker, and it is unknown whether Henriquez will play any part of the Dutchman’s plans next season, as Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao are both linked with exits.
