# Everton vs Manchester United: Five things to look out for

**1. McNair or Evans?**

Personally, if I was Louis van Gaal I’d stick with Paddy McNair as he performed more than adequately away at Chelsea, he looked confident on the ball and got a few shots off, kept Didier Drogba quiet all afternoon. On the other hand, you have Jonny Evans, this could be his return from the spitting incident, during his suspension you could argue that we have played our best football and looked as though we were much better at the back.

**2. Coleman and Lennon vs Shaw and Young**

Ashley Young could be vital in the game if Louis van Gaal chooses to play him. His work rate is second to none and will help Luke Shaw out when Seamus Coleman does make electrifying runs down the right flank to double up on him. However, when Shaw does start to attack, I cant see Aaron Lennon chasing him for 50-60 yards down the pitch, so this could be something we look to exploit.

**3. The return of Fellaini**

This will be Marouane Fellaini’s first time back to Goodison since swapping blue for red. This visit to Everton comes at the right time for Fellaini as some would say he is in the form of his life. He has turned into a real key figure in van Gaal’s starting line up.

**4. Rooney back up top?**

I’d love to see Wayne Rooney go back up top because that’s where he has looked best this season. When playing in midfield the game tends to pass him by and he struggles to assert his dominance but when upfront he tends to be more assertive and can make or break a game. I feel his return to the striker position hangs on whether Daley Blind is fit or not.

**5. Herrera vs Barry?**

Two completely different players. One enjoys to be creative and runs up and down the pitch whilst the other anchors the midfield and delivers the ball to the more creative players, it will be an intriguing battle this one (providing Gareth Barry is fit). Ander Herrera will be trying to pull the strings but may struggle because of Barry’s physical nature.
