# Reds reportedly in talks with Radja Nainggolan

**Manchester United have entered discussions with AS Roma over Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to Corriere dello Sport.**

Having made 25 appearances for the Serie A outfit this term, reports have emerged that the Red Devils are preparing a £28 million move or the powerful central midfielder. With a salary expected to top £4 million, Nainggolan could be seen as a potential replacement for Michael Carrick.

Four goals while assisting another three sets the midfielder in good stead heading into the transfer window should he desire a move from Italy, after featuring in every minute of the club’s Champions League campaign.

United were also linked to the 26-year-old under David Moyes, prior to the capture of Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini from Chelsea and Everton respectively. Should he head to the Theatre of Dreams, Nainggolan could become a leading central midfielder, with Carrick aging and Darren Fletcher departing in the previous transfer window.

Nainggolan has become known for his tough style of play, which has unfortunately seen him booked 13 times in all competitions this season – more than any Manchester United player throughout the campaign.

Radja Nainggolan has featured in 2272 minutes of league action this year.
