# PSG target Angel Di Maria after lacklustre season

**Paris Saint-Germain could offer Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria a way out of Old Trafford this summer, according to reports.**

The Argentine international joined the Red Devils in a £59.7 million move from Real Madrid back in August, and subsequently broke the British transfer record fee.

Supporters were delighted when Louis van Gaal overcame the prospect of the French giants making a late big money move for the winger, but may now look for the Ligue 1 outfit to offer another large sum as an escape route for the struggling star.

The 27-year-old failed to recreate his performances of the previous season, which saw Di Maria lift the Champions League in his final outing for the Spanish side. And PSG manager Laurent Blanc now sees him as a prominent transfer target after just one season in Manchester.

According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the French league champions are set to make a move for the former Benfica man, who could act as a direct replacement for Ezequiel Lavezzi, who is suggested to leave Parc des Princes this summer.

Angel Di Maria made 26 league appearances for the Reds in his debut campaign.
