# Yorke and Cole just two looking forward to all-star fixture

**This Sunday, we will see legends return to the venue where many will call it their second home, and some have expressed their excitement of playing at Old Trafford once again.**

Fan favourite and club ambassador Ji-Sung Park has been added to the squad to face Bayern Munich Legends on the 14th June and is looking forward to meeting up with old-teammates.

“I never expected to play again at Old Trafford but sometimes good things happen. It’ll be an honour to come back,” he expressed.” When I went back to PSV, I met Edwin \[van der Sar\] and \[Mark\] van Bommel, which was nice. But I’ve not seen Louis \[Saha\] for a long time, since he left United, so I’m looking forward to catching up with him and the other guys again.

It’ll be great to play against Bayern Munich – they’re a big club who are well known around the world. It’ll be an exciting game for me and the fans, and it’s all for a great cause.”

The partnership of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole will be on display at The Theatre of Dreams, and the pair will hope that their performances will please the fans.

“It is a great pleasure and opportunity to come back to Old Trafford and play,” Yorke added. “We are just excited to be back. Everyone knows about the combination between myself and Coley, and we will reminisce about the old days.

“We think we could relive those moments, but the reality is can we still produce that? We will definitely have a go at it and have fun on the day. It is all for a good cause and we will try to entertain as many fans who are coming out to support the event.”

But Cole believes that the legends face no expectations, as he said, “You get to an age when people don’t expect us to be running around like we did 15 or more years ago, when me and Yorkie were running around doing the little dummies and all of that.

“Now, it is a case of coming back to Old Trafford and enjoying the occasion. If we score some goals then the fans will be happy. But will we talk about our movements before the game? Even if we did, I don’t think we could now do the movements we did 15 years ago anyway – talking about it would make no difference!”

Current United player Phil Jones will be watching the game, and will keep his eye on one player in particular, who he admires. “\[Jaap\] Stam was one who I always used to watch when he was playing in the Champions League on those big nights.”

When questioned over the possibility of whether he would consider featuring in future Legends matches after he’s retired, the 23-year-old replied, “I’ve got to try to earn that status yet, I’ve got a long way to go before then but it would be nice.”

Ajax chief marketing operator Edwin van der Sar recently expressed his love for the Old Trafford faithful prior to the upcoming match, as he said, “Old Trafford is just a special place to play football and for me it’s the best ground in the world.

“I think that because of the crowd and the huge respect they have for players, not only United players, but former players too. Even when a player produces a great display of quality against United, they recognise it.

“I remember when Cristiano Ronaldo came back with Real Madrid a couple of years ago and the fans embraced him. The supporters are one of a kind. I’ve been back for Soccer Aid and other charity matches three or four times, and every time it feels like I’m coming home.”

One player United legends will be facing at the weekend is Duthman Mark Van Bommel, who has identified Paul Scholes as the player he was most impressed with during the reserve fixture at the Allianz Arena last year.

“During our active careers, we met a few times on the pitch. I always looked with admiration to his intelligent movement and powerful shooting from long range. Also, his technical skills and accurate passing were remarkable. He is a true legend.”
