# Orlando City Hope to Tempt Chicharito with Massive Offer

**Orlando City** want to make **Javier Hernandez** the highest-paid player in the MLS, according to reports in *Mediotempo*.

Hernandez has been constantly linked with a move away from Old Trafford and isn’t believed to be in manager Louis van Gaal’s first team plans.

Now Orlando City are hoping to land *Chicharito*, who spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, and will make him the highest-paid player in the league. Their reported offer of $10 million a year would surpass the wages of current MLS stars Kaka, Andrea Pirlo and Sebastian Giovinco.

Orlando hope that Hernandez would become the face of not only their team but also of the MLS, which has seen a number of high profile players join in the recent weeks.

They will, however, face competition for the 27-year-old striker from Europa League winners Sevilla, who see him as the ideal replacement for Carlos Bacca, the Colombian having joined AC Milan last week.

Hernandez is currently out injured having suffered a fractured cheekbone whilst on international duty with Mexico. *Chicharito* still remains a popular figure among United supporters, and he has scored an impressive 59 goals in 154 games for the club. It appears, though, that he has played his last game for Manchester United.
