The 20-year-old Belgian international had a breakout season under David Moyes, but has failed to consistently impress during Louis van Gaal’s tenure so far.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have been long admirers of Januzaj with rumours linking him to a move to Dortmund all summer. Januzaj, who scored a fantastic goal against Barcelona in pre-season and the winner at Villa Park has been a bright spark in United’s often lacklustre attack, with many pundits and fans alike praising his creativity.

Yet, his inconsistency, decision making and ball retention needs improvement, which has potentially led to van Gaal’s approval of the loan deal.

Januzaj’s move to Dortmund will divide the opinions of the Old Trafford faithful, but it could be an opportunity for him to regain his form and return fully ready to take on the first team.

Everyone here at Read Man Utd wishes him all the best in the Bundesliga and hope to see him back in our colours next season.
