# Team News – Everton vs Man Utd

Manchester United’s injury problems are not as bad as many fans feared, as a number of key players have recovered from knocks ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Everton.

Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera are all available for the encounter at Goodison Park, as United aim to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat against Arsenal before the international break.

“Wayne Rooney, I think he can play and Michael Carrick can play as well,” van Gaal told [MUTV](https://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2015/Oct/Injury-update-ahead-of-Everton-v-United.aspx).

The Dutchman also gave a hint that Phil Jones could be in the starting line-up for tomorrow’s encounter, after playing 90 minutes for the Three Lions on Monday against Lithuania. “I was very pleased with Jones. Yes, of course \[he is fit\] because he has already played for me two times for 15 or 20 minutes. Then he plays for the England team. When I want to select him I can select him for the line-up,” he said.

“They were injured and they have a rehabilitation period behind their back and everything went well,” the manager said. ”They are also fit to play – maybe not 90 minutes but you never know.”

The only two expected absentees for United tomorrow are Paddy McNair (who suffered an abdominal injury while on international duty with Northern Ireland) and Ashley Young (who picked up a problem during the game against Arsenal before the break).
