This is sure to kick up a fuss – the obligatory combined Manchester eleven. There are probably 100 plausible variations which could be argued properly as a legitimate best eleven from the two squads; alas we only have space for one. It’s absolutely necessary that someone have a stab at picking a combined eleven, seeing as the Manchester derby looms large!
With over 40 players to choose from, it’s safe to say that some talented men will be left out of this combined side – but it’s just for fun!
Here’s our effort; bear in mind that we assume everyone from both United and City is fully fit and available for selection. It’s a 4-2-2-2 formation.
