# United to consider Ritchie move

Manchester United are looking to strengthen their [attacking](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2709496/matt-ritchie-on-manchester-united-radar-sources) options as they look to sign Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie this January.

Ritchie, 26, has been Bournemouth’s best player so far this season, coping extremely well with the step up from the Championship to the top flight.

With Louis van Gaal looking to bolster his attack in the January transfer window, Ritchie is a player that the Dutch boss is looking at and will consider a move for when the window rolls around.

It would be crucial for Bournemouth to keep Ritchie at the club for this season at the very least, as due to injuries to key players such as striker Callum Wilson being a big problem for them ahead of the remainder of the season; Ritchie is a prize asset to an already struggling Cherries side.

With United already taking an interest in Southampton winger Sadio Mane, Ritchie may be merely a second choice for Manchester United as they look to pursue the Senegalese winger in the January transfer window.
