Jesse Lingard will become Manchester United’s 65th player in history to become a senior England international if he plays against France on Tuesday evening.
The 22 year-old was called up to the England squad last week after Jamie Vardy, Fabian Delph and fellow United man Michael Carrick pulled out of the international set-up.
The winger is now in contention to play in Tuesday’s friendly, where he could face club team-mates Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial.
With the possibility of Lingard’s international debut coming so soon, we’ve taken a look at the last five United players to make their first appearance for England.
