# Team News – Watford vs Manchester United

Manchester United will be without a host of key players when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road tomorrow.

The international break has not been kind to the Reds, with Michael Carrick, Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini joining Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw on the sidelines after suffering injuries before or during international duty.

> *I think that everybody knows Michael Carrick and Anthony Martial are injured, but also injured is Fellaini. That’s a surprise because I thought he was recovered after the international break, but still he is injured. And that’s a big blow because Rooney is ill, so we have a big problem, I think.*

Furthermore, captain Wayne Rooney will miss tomorrow’s lunchtime kick-off due to illness, but manager Louis van Gaal is hopeful that Martial and Rooney will make their returns against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday.

However, there is some good news up front for van Gaal, with James Wilson available once again after recovering from an injury he picked up against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup a few weeks back. Despite this, the Dutchman said that he won’t be playing the full game:

> *Wilson can play, but he cannot play a whole match because he doesn’t have the rhythm of the game.*

van Gaal also provided some good news on Carrick’s injury in the pre-match press conference, stating that the injury prognosis was better than expected:

> *He shall be playing much quicker than everyone has written.*
